Research and Development

R&D policy
Koyo Sangyo’s research and development laboratory has consistently striven to develop environmentally friendly products through our original technology. Twenty years before sick house syndrome became a societal problem, we invented a water-based polymer-isocyanate adhesive that did not contain formaldehyde. Since then, we have worked to make its use widespread. In addition, even before the current clamor over global warming, we were engaged in research and development of sorghum boards that suppress CO2 emission, and have continued to develop them into products.
One could say that striving to “thoroughly gather a broad range of information, establish original technology, and transform that technology into products” is not only our corporate policy, but also our research and development policy. Koyo Sangyo’s laboratory plays a central role in fully utilizing our Sales Department’s superior ability to gather information and our factories’ production strength in order to transform technology into products.
